The way the basslines and acoustic/electric guitar parts seamlessly blend together with Yasmine and Jahan’s vocals makes for one of the most beautiful soundscapes you would’ve heard recently. The tune is definitely very different from their traditional more aggressive style of dubstep and the Krew have done an incredible job showing us that bass music has a softer, melodic, and more emotional side to it. This track is a certified monster and is sure to give the listener goosebumps. The drop has a sort of hardstyle feel to it which makes this track a little different to the rest. The ominous piano chords, tight drums, and Yasmine and Jahan’s powerhouse vocals serve as the driving force throughout the verses on this track. This track proves to be as good on your headphones as it is in a club setting. Both, Jahan and Yasmine sound gorgeously organic on the track. The vocals really shine through on this track, especially in the bridge right after the second chorus. This track continues to grow on the listener the more you listen to it. It seems that the trio wanted to do something different with this one. This track has banger written all over it! The biggest statement the trio seem to be trying to make with “Alive”, and the album as a whole, is that they refuse to be pigeonholed into any one genre they want to show the world that they can do it at all and do it better than anyone else in the scene. One of the reasons, Krewella first gained a large following was this chart topper. This tune is one of the heaviest on the album and should be more than enough to please all the bass-heads out there. Hence it’s only fitting that they brought in Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy and Travis Barker from Blink 182 to collaborate on the track. This track makes you think of the Krew as a modern incarnation of 90s punk/rock bands with a bit of a twist.

The manner in which Krewella take the sub-kick plus horn-like synths formula and put their own little spin on the track definitely makes for some enjoyable listening.Ħ. “We Are One” may be likened to Hardwell and W&W’s productions thanks to its captivating big-room sound. The uplifting synths, piano embellishments, and sweeping orchestral parts, when combined with Jahan and Yasmine’s noteworthy vocals, make for one of the most beautiful and inspiring tracks Krewella has every released. This track is all about living in and for the moment.
“Enjoy The Ride” is a potential anthem that perfectly embodies the journey that Krewella has been through leading up to the release of this album and the journey this album takes you on. A drum’n’bass/drumstep spin gives it tremendous amount of energy and so it comes as no surprise that the Krew have made this track their weapon of choice to close their sets on multiple occasions recently. The first time you hear this track, you’re certainly blown away. The chopped vocals and heavy, yet melodic basslines in the chorus give the track that classic Krewella sound that fans have been yearning for more of ever since their Play Hard EP debuted last summer.
One listen of “We Go Down” should be more than enough to put any concerns to rest that the Krew had abandoned their roots in grimy bass music to rest. The opening track on the album does an amazing job of showcasing Krewella‘s ability to seamlessly blend uplifting synths with heavy basslines, which is one factor that really sets them apart from most other artists in the bass music scene.
